Have Stains? No problem! Buncha Farmers Stain Stick Review and Giveaway

A while back when I was receiving Cotton Booty Boxes, there was a Buncha Farmers Stain Stick included.  I was so impressed with the product, that I requested to do a review and giveaway for my readers.  I was provided one stain stick to test and one to give away to facilitate this review.  All opinions and bad iPhone pictures are my own.

On my daughter's first birthday, I had the bright idea to dress her in a white onesie and give her a bright orange cake.  On top of that, we had the stomach "flu" hit our house that afternoon!  Her shirt sat stained for a week before I even attempted to wash it.  I knew I used a lot of butter and food coloring making her icing, so I figured her shirt was ruined.  I decided to try out the Buncha Farmers Stain Stick on it, I was hooked!  Not only did it remove the stain, it was super easy to use!

Fast forward, I have used this on spaghetti, road oil (on a white rash guard), apple (brown stains from juice oxidizing), and many other household stains I'm a huge fan.  I didn't take photos of many of these since I wasn't planning on doing a giveaway at first. The stain stick is super easy to use too!

First wet the clothing, next, rub the stain stick on it, rub together (or with an old toothbrush), rinse.  Repeat if needed.  It's even cloth diaper "safe" according to many cloth diaper users!  I personally haven't tried it though.  I did however try it in my Okinami Sia (silk blend) Tula hood that had an unknown stain, it worked great!

Grateful Naturals review and Giveaway

Back in July, I was asked if I would be willing to try out some products from Grateful Naturals.  I was very excited to try them out.  Having an eczema like reaction to most soaps, I was looking for something I could use without resorting to cortisone cream every day. 

I will say, I’m skeptical about everything when it comes to treating myself and my family.  I was pleasantly surprised with how these products work!

Disclaimer:  All statements in this review are from my own observations and experiences.  I am not a medical professional, nor do I claim to be.  The observations are not meant to diagnose or treat any condition.  They are simply my own observations and experience using these products.  

I received five samples in the mail.  I will go through them in order. 

First is the Wonder Cream/Multi purpose healing salve.  This, like all the samples, is meant for topical application.  It smells wonderful!  I applied it to my arms after showers to help control the itch from my eczema.  It works great!  I applied the Wonder Cream to one arm, regular lotion to the other, I even did this blind with my husband choosing which arm to put them on.  I still itched, but it was tolerable, very similar to how the cortisone cream works on my rash.  I am very pleased with this product, and I know I’ll be buying more of it!   

The second is the Lemongrass Deodorant.  I honestly didn’t think it would work since I need clinical strength deodorant on most days, boy was I wrong!  This is my favorite item in the pack.  I used all of the deodorant, even packing and deep cleaning my house wearing it didn’t leave me stinking!  It has a nice scent, doesn’t stain my clothes, and best of all, my underarms are actually feeling nicer than they have in a while.  

Third is the Sun Cream.  I don’t go out in the sun much, and the few times I was out in the midday sun, I forgot it at home.  It rubs in clear, despite the white appearance of the cream.  I will update the blog once I’ve managed to remember to put it on and go outside in this heat!

Fourth is the Tushy Cream.  This one I used on my daughter until I misplaced it!  We cloth diaper, so finding a tushy cream that is compatible is difficult.  We only had rash one day, so I cannot speak of how well it works on rashes, but it didn’t bother her sensitive skin, which is a win in my book!

Fifth is the Herbal Chest Rub.  I don’t know why I didn’t think about using this with my allergy congestion until just now.  It has a very mild scent.  I just put it on while typing away on the blog, and I’m breathing a little easier without the aid of allergy medication.

The Dawgs Solution to Spraying!

I'm happy to review the Spray Collar by Diaper Dawgs!  I was provided a Spray Collar to facilitate this review, all observations, bad iPhone pictures, and opinions are my own.

 Receiving the Spray Collar in the mail came at a perfect time.  We are trying to sell out townhome, and the continual cleaning of splatter from spraying diapers was starting to get to me.  There always seemed to be fine poop splatter on my toilet rim thanks to the new sprayer we purchased.

As soon as I got the Spray collar, I installed it.  It does take some trial and error to get the hang of using it, but once you do, it's such a time saver when it comes to cleaning!  No more dots to scrub off when the toilet rim wasn't wiped down!  Instead, take a few squares of toilet paper and wipe the collar before storing. You can also use sanitizing wipes to clean it when cleaning your bathroom.  You can even collapse it down and use a microwave sterilizer to make sure it's germ free.  Please use a specific sterilizer for this use, don't mix it with your pump or bottle parts.

The soft silicone cone is unobtrusive, and is quiet when I accidentally bump it when spraying an early morning soiled diaper!

When I spray a diaper, I slightly angle down the sprayer, and keep the collar close to the diaper to contain the back spray. Too far back will cause the splatter to scatter, so practice where you need to be based on your water pressure!

My grandmother was even impressed.  She was surprised how easy the sprayer and collar made cloth diapering.

Due to selling the condo, I cannot have the sprayer and collar hanging from the toilet.  The collar helps pop up the sprayer from the floor, making it easier to pick up from the curled up spot next to/behind my toilet.

The nice bright rainbow of colors goes well with the decor of my children's bathroom.

On a personal note, the company is wonderful.  With the loss of my grandfather shortly after I received the collar, they were more than understanding that the review and giveaway would be delayed.  I cannot tell you how much it meant to me that they were so understanding!

The usage of cloths as an alternative to disposable baby wipes is quite economical and easy to use. Many people use a solution or spray the wipes with water before wiping. Personally I just wet my cloth wipes with water as needed. Usually 1-2 for a messy diaper.
